Migration

Bring your players over.

Moving to ThrowDown is simple. Import your player roster from a CSV file and start running tournaments the same day.

Three steps to migrate

Export your data

Export your player roster from your current system — spreadsheet, other software, or even a paper list. ThrowDown accepts CSV files with player names, emails, and phone numbers.

Import to ThrowDown

Use the CSV import tool in the admin panel to upload your player list. Map columns to ThrowDown fields (name, email, phone, gender, age category) and import in one click.

Verify and go

Review the imported players, fix any duplicates, and you're ready to create your first event. Historical data lives in your old system — ThrowDown is your fresh start for running tournaments digitally.

Migrating from...

Spreadsheets

Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers — export as CSV and import directly.

Other tournament software

Export your player list to CSV from your current tool.

Paper rosters

Type your players into a spreadsheet, save as CSV, and import.

No roster yet?

Start fresh. Add players manually as they show up to your first event.

CSV format

Your CSV should have headers in the first row. Supported columns:

name, email, phone, gender, ageCategory

Only name is required. All other columns are optional.
